Dr. Randall Blohowiak, D.C.

Dr. Blohowiak completed his Bachelor of Science degree, double majoring in Biology and Chemistry, at St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin.  After graduating summa cum laude he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West in California, obtaining his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine as class Valedictorian.  He had an internship as a Chiropractor for the San Francisco 49ers football team and later obtained his board eligibility as a Chiropractic Neurologist.  Upon moving back to Wisconsin, Dr. Randy began his professional career at a family practice in Green Bay where he had the opportunity to work with numerous Green Bay Packer players.  Dr. Blohowiak owns several practices in Wisconsin and now brings his 25+ years of experience and expertise to the Fox Valley.  He primarily uses the Palmer/Gonstead and Diversified adjusting techniques and is one of a handful of Doctors certified to perform Manipulation Under Anesthesia.  Dr. Randy is the proud father of boy/girl twins, Pierce and Reagan.  He is married to Kimberly, who is a former Miss Wisconsin and competed in both the Miss America and Miss USA pageants.  In his free time Dr. Blohowiak enjoys spending quality time with his family, boating, golfing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Dr. Benjamin Reineking,D.C.

A native of Cleveland, Wisconsin–a small town between Sheboygan and Manitowoc along Lake Michigan–Dr. Reineking was very active in sports throughout high school and often sought physical therapy and chiropractic care to improve his strength and flexibility.  He received a scholarship to study physical therapy in the kinesiology department at the University of Wisconsin, but the rigors of college academics brought increased headaches and muscle tension.  Dr. Reineking received chiropractic care which relieved those symptoms and soon developed an interest in the neurological/musculoskeletal relationship.  Dr. Ben is a board-certified Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine, utilizing diversified technique, flexion distraction and the Thompson drop method.  He received his Doctorate in 2008 from Northwestern Health Services University in Bloomington, MN and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, with a focus on bacteriology, from the UW-Madison.  Dr. Reineking takes pride in providing chiropractic care to patients of all ages for general health and musculoskeletal conditions, whether chronic or acute.  He uses a variety of techniques specific for the patient, focusing on holistic health and wellness.  Dr. Ben and his loving wife Lisa have two adorable daughters, Lena and Maizie, and reside in Appleton. When he’s not doing yard work or training for the next triathlon, he enjoys spending time with family, camping, going to the lake, snowboarding and biking.  Dr. Ben also enjoys volunteering to stretch participants at local athletic races.

Dr. Judy Ellefson, D.C.

Dr. Judy Ellefson has provided quality chiropractic care to the Appleton area since 1986, the year she graduated from Northwestern College of Chiropractic with a Doctoral degree.  She then continued her post-graduate education in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine specifically.  She has served as a race physician volunteer for the Fox Cities Marathon and the Badger State Games.  Dr. Judy has considerable experience treating patients of all ages, both for injuries and general musculoskeletal conditions.  She understands and values the importance of good diet and nutrition, along with exercise and activity as a companion to the treatment she provides, as she is certified in nutritional counseling.  She’ll take the extra time to provide manual therapy techniques such as Graston, Active Release, soft tissue massage and Kinesiotape, and regularly instructs patients in stretching techniques and exercises.  Dr. Judy enjoys gardening, bicycling and hiking with her husband Terry.

Dr. John Jenkins, D.C.

Dr. John Jenkins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY.  After graduating he moved to Wisconsin where he worked various jobs within the medical field.  His father, a long time chiropractic patient, encouraged him to pursue a career in chiropractic, so he moved to Davenport, IA to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic and graduated summa cum laude with a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic.  Dr. Jenkins brings more than 30 years of experience to Aascend Chiropractic Institute after serving the Fox Valley in solo practice.  He utilizes a variety of treatment protocols based upon the individual needs of the patient, with certifications in nutritional counseling, physiotherapy and cold laser therapy.  Dr. Jenkins is on the Board of Disabled Citizens, Inc. working to improve accessibility for individuals with physical disabilities.  His outside interests include hiking, biking, fishing, gardening and volunteering at Appleton Alliance Church where he is an active member.  He and his wife reside in Appleton and have one grown son, Josh.

Kimberly Blohowiak, C.M.R.

Director of Corporate Operations
Kimberly is originally from Racine and is a University of Wisconsin-Madison Business School graduate with a double major in Marketing and Administrative Management.  After 17 successful years in corporate medical and pharmaceutical sales, Kimberly decided to apply her knowledge of the financial, marketing and customer service functions of an organization to helping her husband, Dr. Randy, operate their clinics. Kimberly is primarily responsible for coordinating all financial aspects of the clinics’ operations; however, her favorite activity is daily interaction with patients.  As a former Miss Wisconsin, Kimberly had the unique experience of competing in both the Miss America and Miss USA pageants.  Her present “title” is Mom to boy/girl twins, Pierce and Reagan, and is without a doubt the most rewarding accomplishment of her life.  Kimberly stays active in the community by volunteering on the Board of Directors as Treasurer with the Makaroff Youth Ballet.  In her free time Kimberly enjoys all genres of the performing arts, traveling, boating, water/snow skiing and relaxing with a delicious glass of red wine.

Leigh Bubolz, C.T., C.R.T.

Office Manager
As “Cruise Director”/Office Manager, in addition to steering the ship, Leigh is licensed as a Chiropractic Technician and Chiropractic Radiologic Technician.  With almost 30 years in healthcare her path has gone from surgical/primary care assistance to chiropractic reception, patient care, insurance and management.  The diversity of her career has deepened her compassion towards patients and strengthened her determination to maintain a positive, healing office environment for patients and staff.  Leigh is proudly married to Glen, a Registered Nurse/Paramedic.  Together they have 2 grown boys, Johnathan and Matthew, and 4 fur babies:  Kristy, CoCo Puff, Erin and Sophie.  Relaxation consists of baking, short travels and time spent with family.  She is proud to be a member of the Aascend Chiropractic team!

Dawn Bergs, C.T., C.R.T.

Chiropractic Technician
Dawn graduated from Marian College with a Bachelor of Science Nursing degree and brings a multitude of clinical experience in chiropractic, hospital, rehabilitation and nursing home patient care to the clinic.  She is also a licensed Chiropractic Technician, marketing representative and Chiropractic Radiologic Technician.  Dawn has always found herself thriving in environments which help people to be the healthiest they can be.  Dawn was born in Wyandotte, MI, raised in San Diego, CA, Lake Geneva and Fond du Lac, WI, and finally moved to the Appleton area after meeting her husband Charley.  They are proud new parents of a beautiful baby girl, Alanna.  When not in the clinic Dawn loves spending time with her family and friends.  She has a passion for triathlons and the outdoors, usually hiking and biking.  She looks forward to contributing to the continued growth and success of Aascend Chiropractic and enjoys hearing positive stories from patients about how chiropractic has improved their overall lifestyle!
